Lurverly Lunch

Mmm, I love me my VEGGIES!

Lunch was awesome - I got some great veggies in: a side salad with Romain/iceberg lettuce, broccoli, carrots, red cabbage, cherry tomatoes as well as some white and yellow cheese, all topped off with a big heap (2 T.) of Roasted Red Pepper Hummus. I also had a grilled chicken breast fillet on the side from Chick-fil-A, and finished my lunch off with a sweet clementine.

Okay, can y'all tell I'm color-happy today?? The sun is shining, the wind is blowing, I'm wearing yellow and it's a lovely day!!! :D

Cake, Glorious Cake

Morning, bloggys! :D

So I came home from a rocking 5:30 a.m. spin class this morning and had cake for bfast! In the words of Gina, "'twas glorious."

YUM. Whipped banana pumpkin oats with dried blueberry granola, fresh pineapple, pb & ab, and homemade pineapple cake (I'm talking wedding cake-good here, y'all). After the class I had definitely earned it - plus I had been planning/saving up for this since yesterday! It had been far too long since I'd had cake on my oatmeal. ;)

Today's mix included:
1/4 c. oats
1 t. flaxseed
1 t. wheat germ
1/3 c. pumpkin
1/2 frozen banana

1 T. blueberry flaxseed granola
1 t. pb
1 T. almond butter
and 1 slice of fresh pineapple.

The fresh pineapple totally made this morning's bowl (cup)! I did snap a picture of that beautiful cup of beauty, but we'll see if I can find the camera cord! St. Anthony, help me find it!

Oh, not only did I have the cake but I went ahead and put the full batch I had made in my cup to eat as my stomach was growlin' up something fierce and letting me know it was hangry! I ended up putting my spoon down 3/4 of the way through, and put the remainder in the fridge for a snack later on. Always good to walk away still feeling a little hungry- water will take care of the last bit of hunger!

Oh, Where is My Camera Cord?Oh Where, Oh Whereeeee?

*grumble* Darn all, I can't find the cord for my camera - thus no pictures. :( How can I post pics on here and Fb if they can't download online?!?

Onto today's eatings.

Breakfast: Woke up starving and had a slice of whole wheat toast w/ pb and honey. Did 30 minutes of yoga and strength on the Wii, then threw some strawberries, pineapple, cranberries, pumpkin, granola, and nut butters on top of maybe 1/5 a cup of Oikos greek yogurt.

Lunch: Leftover tofu w/ kidney beans, 'shrooms, wilted spinach, and peas- and a petite apple!

Dinner: Pile of spinach with two Tbsp. of hummus, a small slice of roast beef, whole grain rice w/ a vegetable medley. Dessert was a Peanut Butter Cookie Luna bar. Mmmm. Feeling happy and nearly full now, just the way I like it. About to head off for a toasty bath and then bed.

I have one month to write my book!!! How did that happen?!?!

OW. My stomach hurts - it is letting me know in loud terms it does not like it when I eat more then there is room for in my much smaller stomach. *groan* I knew there was going to be a downside to eating lunch at 2:30, three hours before Mom and I met up with Ms. Kimberly, Keaghan and Ms. Cay for dinner! Ughhhhh.....I want to go on a 4 mile run now, and eat very light tomorrow.

I do not like eating my meals close together! Tomorrow they are going to be. Spaced. Out. As in three or more hours!!
