Started back up on walking - we fell seriously behind, but we walked this afternoon after church in the lovely sunshine. :)
My parents have been married 23 years today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love you, Mom and Dad!!!! :)
Breakfast was a tiny bit of whipped banana oatmeal with cranberries. Lunch was leftover goolash and a wee bit of pb & cranberries on a morsel of bread, and dinner was a yummy burger with onions, mushrooms on a Arnold's Wheat Thin with broccoli, cauliflower and cucumber with hummus. Dessert was a chocolate covered strawberry and one of my homemade sugar cookies with a mint truffle Hershey's Kiss in the middle...all washed down with water. Nom nom nom. :)
Off to bed now. Happy Advent, everyone!

*beams* Oh, yes, it's a loverly, splendiferlously morning! Add to that that I'm as happy as a bird and could trill away, and you have one very bubby Raewyn. ;)
WE MADE IT ON OUR MORNING WALK TODAY!!! I'm SOOO estatic about it and just about bouncing off the walls that we didn't sleep in and actually woke up at 4:40 again! Sweet routine, we are back. :) I was thinking about all that yesterday and realized that for myself personally, I NEED to exercise everyday (by this I mean a brisk walk/stroll) or I just don't feel as good or productive as opposed to when I do.
Anyhoo, just wanted to share that wee bit with y'all. :) Breakfast (before 6:25 - YES! Back in the swing of things) was ooooats! Yum...really. I covered it with cinnamon, apples, banana slices, and a whopping spoonful of beloved peanut butter. HEAVEN! I seriously see me eating this for breakfast at least twice a week!
We went grocery shopping yesterday so the house is full again! Some plans for the rest of the day:
shoot Keaghan a e-mail :)
probably go work at the store (massive orders today)
go for another walk - I hope!
And of course, eat at some point.

Breakfast this morning was Jenna's bowl of oats, with skim milk, vanilla, cinnamon, pinch of salt, banana and some peanut butter - Yumm! Definitely be trying that again. :) This morning's getting off to a bit of a late start...I slept in again and didn't wake up until nearly six! So at some point today I'm going to try to go on a nice long 45 minute walk to make up our morning one which we missed. I honestly have no idea why I slept in - I even went to bed earlier then usual so there'd be no chance of me not waking up! I'm usually in bed exactly at 9:30, so last night I turned in at 9:00...I think it was probably because I had Mr. B's classes yesterday: they last all day and they're pretty long/hefty, so I'm usually wiped out when I come home.
*yawn* Well, now school! I'm happily back to feeling like a homeschooler again -hooray!
Cheers, everyone! Have a good morning!

(Darn. The pics aren't behaving and letting me cut them into the middle of the post...they all want to be at the top!)
Today went pretty well. I woke up early and had a strawberry-banana smoothie (my first in days - yum!) and started to have a croissant with Nutella, but threw it away (it was stale and yucky...less then healthy as well) and began again with some toast. I wish I had chosen a whole grain waffle though, because they smelled amazing when the my mom and sister had some for their breakfast. Lunch and dinner were delicious though and more then made up for the croissant! I had a slice of my leftover veggie pizza for lunch with some cukes, watermelon, grapes and hummus. For dinner I made myself a taco salad which turned out HUGE and was so amazing - I threw in lettuce, green peppers, torn up tortilla, fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, some shredded cheese, avocado and salsa. I was, "pleasently stuffed to the gills," as my Will puts it. ;) I noticed halfway through eating that the new salsa I had gotten was "Medium" in stead of "Mild", which would explain why it was hotter then usual! I ended my meal on a cool note with some creamy fat-free Weight Watchers ( I love their yogurt) vanilla yogurt and some fresh strawberries which hit the spot...I have to say, it was better then ice cream...though I might think that because I haven't had ice cream in a while. :)
Oh, and as a snack I had some unsweetened applesauce sprinkled with wheat germ and flaxseed, with some grapes and raisins...I was craving a Signature hot chocolate from Startbucks like crazy this morning - it was so cold! I was at the kitchen table curled up in a blanket with my fuzzie socks on! Got to back to the gym this evening and walked/ran for 20 min. Maybe now I can have that hot chocolate! ;)

I woke up at 4:30, saw the time, rolled back over, shut my eyes and enjoyed my remaining 15 minutes of sleep. Then, on time, at 4:45 the alarm went off - time to get up! We start our days pretty early now...we were out of the house by 5:15 and I managed to get some nice brisk walking in (make that really brisk) because we ( my dad and I) were trying to catch up with my mom and youngest sister who had gotten a head start. All in all, I'm pretty happy with this morning's walk/run (I call it a run but it's really not..no idea why I do. Maybe because it just sounds better!). Today promises to be very busy - I have to work this afternoon so I better go do my school! This morning I had a peanut butter smoothie (fat-free milk, ice, peanut butter, vanilla protein powder, wheat germ, and a banana) and just a few blueberries and strawberries which I cut up into tiny pieces. I told myself I wasn't going to have a smoothie for breakfast today -I've had one every single morning since I got my braces- but I couldn't resist the last of the peanut butter in the jar! We have a second one thankfully, ready to be open so that will be enjoyed soon. Tomorrow I'm going to be strong and NOT have a smoothie for breakfast...I'm going to try and do the every-other-day thing with that...let's see how it works out!

I stumbled upon Cristin's blog a few months ago, on Self.com and was so taken with the idea of documenting everything you eat by taking a picture, that I have been doing so for a few weeks. I've tried and failed before to keep a food diary...this however seems to work much better, and it's so much easier! All I do is borrow my mom's iPhone and click, the picture's been taken, my meal is captured (on film, that is ;)) and I can look back at it anytime I want.
I'm going to be posting pictures of everything (well, nearly - there might be a few instances where I won't have the camera, etc.) that I eat. I've found that it's helped immensely...when you realize you'll have to take a picture and have photogenic evidence, those M&Ms aren't quite as tempting. It's also so encouraging to look back and see if you've been eating healthy...it does wonders for self-confidence and pride in yourself. :) So here I go, off on this new adventure, with the hopes that you all will enjoy yourself...and who knows? Maybe one of you will be inspired just as I was. See you in the morning!
